Have you read my post about my SELENITE SAGA (June 28, 2023)? My mouth is still stuck open in disbelief 😮!

If you’ve read that post already, you know that I initially came to this space with skepticism  — and a dose of my characteristic snark –  about the healing power of stones.

When I see a  wrist adorned with multiple gemstone bracelets –one maybe promising creativity, another emotional balance, a third – harmony, and a fourth  – energy, I often imagine risks of things like crystal confusion, conflicting frequencies, or chakra contraindications. How do all those bracelets actually do their thing on you at the same time? What exactly do you feel?

On my first journey, I was handed a Rose Quartz to hold.

According to ChatGPT:

“Rose Quartz is often associated with love and compassion. Many believe it can promote emotional healing, self-love, and strengthen relationships. Some also use it to attract positive energy and promote a sense of calmness.”

What does one do with a stone? I wondered as it was handed to me.

This particular pink-hued stone was beautifully-honed and had delicate white veins. It was cool and smooth to the touch. Its perfectly rounded contours aligned perfectly in my palm. Surprisingly, grasping it invoked a sense of comfort and safety. I didn’t let go of it for hours as the sensations of plant medicine rolled through my body for the very first time.

Fast forward to this past weekend when I was experiencing an anniversary of sorts, journeying one year later in the same lovely place with a familiar community of psychonauts.

I picked up the very same Rose Quartz off the assortment of stones offered to participants.

Flat on a blanket-covered mat, I placed the stone on my chest as I dropped into the medicine. First, I became acutely aware of my heartbeat. Then the Rose Quartz began beating palpably in unison with my heart. I lifted my hand to touch the stone resting on my chest. It was radiating extreme heat – as if it had been wrapped in a blanket under the embers of a fire for hours.

ChatGPT adds to its explanation of Rose Quartz:

“Keep in mind that these beliefs are often rooted in metaphysical and spiritual practices and individual experiences may vary.”

🤷‍♀️

Nature is definitely beginning to talk to me through its diverse elements. Or rather – and here I correct myself – I am beginning to listen more deeply to nature’s wordless but profound communication.
